Class of 1981

Fellow Classmates,

Andy Timm, Cherian John and myself have been trying to track down all of our classmates for the last couple of years with some success. It would be nice to try to plan some form of a class re-union in 2011 in India or in the U.K. or elsewhere to celebrate 30 years since we graduated. Yes, 30 years !! Incredible huh ? !

We thought that it would be a nice idea to get some photos of us when we In Hebron and some photos of how we are today and circulate them among our classmates. This would help generate some interest in a re-union, as well as re-unite some friends and their families who may have lost contact over the years. It may also help to heal some of the wounds and ease some of the problems that the Boarding school situation caused some of us.

Therefore I am attaching to this a list of all the students in our class that I know of from the day the class first started around 1970 to the date we graduated in 1981. Many of us were a part of that class for only a few years, others were at Lushy, then “Titch Heb” and then back up in Ooty again for the last few years.

If you know of some classmate whose name is not listed can you please let me know.

I am also trying to get contact information for all classmates. Some I have e-mail addresses for, others only telephone numbers, some I have only an idea of what part of the planet they live on ! ( some of us, I think, have always lived on another planet …… but that is another matter altogether ! ) If anyone can fill me in on more information here to please do so.

The women of our class have another problem…….many have got married and as such have changed their names, making it nearly impossible to find them unless the married name is known. For this reason I will state the single ( maiden name ) of the person in our class, and then add the married name if applicable AND if I know it. I shall also add the spouse’s name AFTER the classmate’s name in all cases ( male and female ).

The next thing I am asking is for photographs. It would be good to add a photo of what we were like while at school, and then a photo of us with our current family ( wife/husband and children ) to this newsletter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me the name of your spouse and of your children in a manner that they can be identified from the photo.

As the photos and information start to come in from the whole class, I will send updated information out to everyone. I ask that you please start to respond A.S.A.P. rather than leave this to the last minute.

With each updated file I shall also attempt to send some info on one or more classmates and what they are doing or have done since they left Hebron.

Within an hour or so of receiving this e-mail you should receive one with the class list on it and the contact info and photos I have so far. Please send me as much info as you can about yourself and any other classmates that you know of. If you want contact info for other Hebronites just ask, I may have some of that here too, if not I might be able to get it for you as well.
